AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

5. To provide facilities for not only their personality development and strong foundation in all subjects of their curriculum but also to modify their thinking, to broaden their visions and to acquaint them with our rich culture and heritage.
6. To prepare students for the higher level of education subsequently in Sciences by inculcating in them not only a good base in Science but also a Scientific temperament aimed at producing competent, creative and imaginative Scientists.
7. To foster interdisciplinary approaches and inter departmental involvement in the educational programme by bringing together staff and students into activity centres of mutual interest.
8. To attract distinguished staff and to develop the institution to a standard which can make significant contribution to the community and provide an intellectual reservoir for the growing demands of a developing nation.
Safety Measures
UPKSSBV is committed to the safety and wellbeing of students and staff and recognizes the importance of and responsibility for ensuring that our school is a safe, and provides supportive and enriching environment which respects and fosters the dignity and self-esteem of the students and the staff.
- Round the clock vigilance is maintained through CCTV cameras placed at strategic locations.
- Each block/floor is equipped with Fire safety measures and warning hooters for natural or manmade catastrophe.
- Staircases are within easy approach .Supporting staff or lady guards are on duty on each floor.
- Staff is appointed after background verification and their record is maintained.
- It is compulsory for all staff members and students to wear the photo ID cards.
- School van is always kept ready to meet medical emergencies.
- Visitors entry record is maintained. Weapons are not allowed on the premises.
- Water, sanitation and fire safety inspections are carried out regularly.
- Corporal punishment is prohibited and bullying is not allowed. Students are initially warned verbally and given a chance to improve.
- Absence of the student is intimated to the parents through SMS. Important messages to the Parents and the staff is communicated through SMS alert facility.
- Students are not allowed to stand outside the school for pick up. Teachers are on vigilance duty in interval and at the time of arrival and departure time of the students.
- School has a two bedded Infirmary for the students cared by a trained nurse.
- The School buses, running on contractual basis are equipped with GPS system to monitor live position of the buses.
- Regular Parent Teachers Meeting is held to discuss academic and behavioral issues of the children.
- Attendance of the teaching and the Non teaching staff is monitored by the Bio Metric system.
- School has an internal committee led by the school Principal to look into complaints regarding sexual harassment under POCSO act 2012. Workshops are conducted by the teachers, films or documentaries are shown to the students to make them aware of good and bad touch. The school Counselor is available in the school to help students for the psychological guidance.
